Sublimation Printing

As part of my Jūnihitoe recreation I wanted use fabric that would reflect the aesthetic of the Heian period. After researching patterns and fabric I made the decision to design my own for sublimation printing so that I could achieve the accuracy I wanted. I used photoshop to create a repeat patterns for each layer which I then colour tested onto a solid background. I then created proportionate templates which were then printed on synthetic materials.
