After being taught the ins and outs of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator during my BA, I remained adamant that I wanted to continue creating my designs with pen and paper. I found my style using a base of pro markers with layered pencil and chalk to create finer details. It wasn't until my MA, when I decided to write research books using InDesign, that I realised the digital approach would have the overall look and appeal that I was hoping to achieve. I therefore retaught myself the adobe software and, using a Wacom, created illustrations, designs and pattern plans digitally. I am continuing to develop my designs skills both on and off paper.
